A boat that lives in the lagoon grows a bottom full of barnacles, takes on stains at the waterline and sits exposed every time a storm comes through. A lift keeps the hull dry and clean, and gets the boat up and secured when the weather turns.

The lift is sized to your boat, including fuel, gear and any future upgrade you have in mind. The pilings are then sized and set for the lift. If you are building a new dock, planning the lift at the same time means the pilings go in once, in the right place.
Adding a lift to an existing dock
Most existing docks can take a lift, but not every dock was built with one in mind. We check the pilings, the water depth and the space you have before recommending a lift and a location.

What size lift do I need?
Size the lift to the fully loaded weight of the boat, including fuel, water, batteries and gear, with room to spare. Tell us the make and model and we will work out the right capacity.
Do I need a permit to build or replace a dock or seawall?
Almost always, yes. Docks, seawalls and boat lifts in Brevard County need a building permit from the county or from your city, and depending on the site the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers may also need to sign off. We prepare the drawings and handle the permit applications as part of the job.
Do you build the roof over the dock too?
Yes. Capital Marine Construction is a Florida Certified General Contractor, so the dock, the boathouse framing and the roof are all built by one company under one permit.
